Election Night Interview with Dan Turkette

We met up with Dan and a few other Republicans at Columbia Street West. In the interview he talks about the Kelty loss, Steve Shine and the future of the Republican party, John Crawford and a possible Matt Kelty challenge of Mark Souder.

Jeff,

You've really been cranking out the multi-media here! Nice work!

I couldn't help but notice the irony of "Dirty Laundry" playing in the background during the video.

Thanks - this is the direction I want the site to go. I still think there's a place for more in depth interviews but I want to do this kind of stuff too. I think readers of political blogs like the extra coverage they don't get from the traditional media.

You heard that in the background huh? I was wondering if anyone would notice. And yes that really was playing in the background and isn't something I added...

I wonder if Dan will post this on his site. I'd check, but he's blocked my IP address from accessing his site. Nice guy, huh? In all my time as a blogger, I've only banned one person - initials TZ - and then it was only after I had warned him to lay off what he was doing. He tested me - and I banned him. Still not sure why Dan is blocking my IP. Oh wait, my wife called him on trying to beat the rules. Which of course he had tried to do.

Glad to see Turkette's a mellow drunk. All that rage when he's in his right mind would have made me predict one helluva ugly interview. He actually admits to voting for Shoaff and thinking about the issues not the parties. Amazing, friggin' amazing. Not such a rightard after all. Educable.

Let's hope all the sheeple that went for Kelty can be convinced to think for themselves. Even though we might have to spring for a doob and a coupla drinkies to get 'em there, maybe grab their crotch and give 'em some lovin' they ain't gettin' at home, at least it's nothing a special prosecutor would ever contemplate as improper under the current laws.

You know I could almost get behind a Kelty for congress campaign. He would fit right in there in Washington.

Mellow drunk is right. I kept waiting for the teary "I love ya man".

And by the way Gramps, no one calls him Bob. It's Robert.

I have heard from others that Dan does usually come off as a nice guy, when he isn't behind a keyboard. Nice interview gramps!

For the first time I find myself agreeing with Dan. Nothing would make it easier for the Dems. to regain the congressional seat if Kelty was the nominee.

Not only would he be a weaker candidate, but he and his supporters would inject their Kool-aid/poison into another political organization and drive it into the ground.

So I guess Kelty only getting convicted on a small charge or let off would be something I would hope for.
